Water sports are a great passion of ours and our products aim to represent this with a purpose of helping others.

It is our human nature to go out and play; when it comes to surfing, body-surfing and stand-up paddle-board surfing it’s the reward of the next best wave, whereas with flat water paddling, canoeing and standup-paddle-boarding it’s the adventure of the journey and the places along the way.

We want to share this with as many people as possible, and through donations to charities linked to the sea and water-sports, we hope to help with access and opportunity.

Sakura workshop started when I was looking for a use for off-cuts from the boat-building repair and restoration jobs I was involved in, Surf wax holders and Body-surfing handplanes were small enough and adaptable enough to create them in a variety of ways, and for us wood-work creates warm, stylish products that are functional as well as looking great.

Sakura workshop has added SAKURA apparel and accessories to enable us to share our passion to a wider audience and allow us to focus more on a purpose. All SAKURA products sold will include 10% of profits being donated to a charity we hope to work closely with to improve access to the joy of water-sports and its many benefits.

Humans retain a sense of play into adulthood, and our aim is to produce a range of quality products to reflect this.

Sakura Workshop is based in Pembrokeshire, Wales and we take inspiration from Sakura - Japanese for the blossom of the cherry tree - as well as Japanese culture and traditions to create stylish innovative products

Where possible, with our apparel and accessories we strive to be made from sustainable materials, which will ever improve as the industry evolves and adapts.

All our wood work is primarily made with cherry wood as well as locally sourced or reclaimed timber and wood products, as well  as FSC plywood for  our handplanes as we really like the aesthetic.
